Idrive increases lead in Data Based Artificial Intelligence Products and Services for Fleet Vehicles
Modern approaches of Deep Learning are changing the way data scientists are processing information from sensors. In the automotive industry, sensors like accelerometers and gyroscopes are vital for real-time analysis of driver behavior and signal potentially dangerous events to fleet owners in real-time.
SANTA BARBARA, California – May 08, 2018
idrive, Inc — A global leader in Intelligent Camera Systems and Computer Vision for the transportation industry — has released Accident Detection for the new idrive iRIS.
Classical numerical algorithms like Zero Velocity Update methods were refined over years in the automotive industry by several leading firms to a point where they reached maturity into the high 80 to low 85 percentile accuracy rates. This was achieved over the last 20 years and only the highest technology companies ever got to this level. Today idrive announces accident/severe incident detection with consistent accuracy rating above 93%.
Using data gathered from validated Video over 10 years, the engineers from the research and development department of idrive, Inc. created data driven algorithms to modulate and simulate accident patterns. Most data driven algorithms are a combination of several deep learning methods. See Example Pic 1.
“This is an incredible achievement” stated Jose Bugarin, Owner at Quest, “It makes our fleet a lot safer and allows us all to sleep at night knowing if something serious happens, we will be notified.”
Combined with the iRIS platform, SMS and email alerts can be sent via cellular services in real-time including video footage of the incident. This is the next natural step in our product evolution: unmatched accuracy. idrive will be adding Accident Detection in today’s release of its new industry leading iRIS platform.
idrive will be announcing new technology releases in the coming weeks.
